As an advocate of emissions of exhaust gases clean, Toyota is already producing the new ZR engine again in the second plant of Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd., as announced recently by the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA).

This engine meets the tail gas emissions set by the waiting rule Euro III. According to Toyota, which also has the potential to meet Euro IV, will be installed in the new Toyota Corolla. He said the car will be produced in the third plant of Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. next month.

The manufacturer of the ZR engine, Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co. Ltd. is the leading manufacturer of Tianjin FAW Toyota Parts Motor Co., Ltd. The ZR engine has the characteristics of high performance yet low fuel consumption and low emissions. It ranks first among its international competitors in terms of motive power, fuel economy and environmental protection.

The environmentally-friendly engines are produced simultaneously and its production will reach 220,000 sets every year. Therefore, it means the Chinese market is playing an increasingly important role for Toyota and the position of Tianjin Binhai New Area, no doubt, more and more important in its strategy for the China market.

Apart from the announcement of the initial production brand new ZR engine, Toyota also announced today its plans to continue providing its city gas system 1-kW residential fuel cell cogeneration to Toho Gas Co., Ltd. (Toho), which is participating in the 2007 A large scale sets the Project Fuel Cell Demonstration of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry through the installation and system monitoring in the home.

Toyota Motor Company Residential fuel cell cogeneration system combines a stationary fuel cell – jointly developed with Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. (Aisin) – and a storage tank of hot water. TMC will manufacture 28 units of Toho system. These are designed to be installed within homes in three prefectures – Aichi, Gifu and Mie – Japan Tokai District to collect data for a period of two years ending March 2010.

TMC has considered the global environmental preservation as a priority management issue in terms of its corporate social responsibility. Consequently, it has been actively developing technologies and marketing products that help solve environmental problems, especially air pollution. Continue research of Toyota Motor Company and the development of housing systems for cogeneration fuel cell is part of this effort.

Toyota also is in the process of improving Toyota muffler to provide softness, both in engine and exhaust.

During the three years from 2005 to 2007, each year the Foundation New Energy, the organization conducting the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Large-Scale Stationary Fuel Cell Demonstration Project, has been encouraging energy suppliers to participate in its verification project. Last year, Toyota Motor Company, manufacturer of fuel cell systems, provided 24 units of fuel cell cogeneration systems to energy supplier Toho.
